At-Bristol

As a Learning Communicator for At-Bristol, Lee's duties include designing sci-comm activities and forgetting his colleagues' names. He excels at one of these two tasks.

At-Bristol Events

Here's a bunch of events for At-Bristol, which Lee probably had something to do with.

Brownie Science Investigator Badge weekend (again)
Just how many Brownies are there in the world, anyway? Do they *all* go to At-Bristol for their badges?

Taking photos on a semi-regular basis
Lee should really charge Marketing for these. HIGHLIGHT: being told by Richard Dawkins to "stop taking photos".

Night Sky sheets
A new one every month, you lucky people.

Winter 2009 Planetarium show
You've got Orion. You've got Taurus. You've got Canis Major. What's not to like?

Eat HQ: food-themed science fun
An excuse for Lee to buy a lot of fluffy animals, under the guise of a science activity. Hey kid, which of these are carnivores? No, rabbits do not eat pies.

Brownie Science Investigator Badge weekend

All staff present now have a lifelong phobia of bubble mixture.

Some Moon Event Thing, July 2009
"Event managing" an evening with a science author basically meant getting someone else to do all the hard work, and simply ensuring people vacated the premises promptly without playing on the exhibits. Thinking back, Lee's job was to stop people having fun. He succeeded.

Autumn 2009 Planetarium Show
See the summer description below.

Brownie Stargazer Badge weekend

400 Girl Guides became committed astrofans. That's got to be a good thing. Right?

Summer 2009 Planetarium Show
Although it's fair to say that Lee only really updated the 2008 planetarium show, writers always take more credit than they deserve and he is certainly no different.

Festival of Nature, June 2009
The astronomy tent "kicked ass" as the kids of today may say, what with spacesuit designing, planet painting, and crater making.

Meet the Experts, May 2009
Would you like to meet some seismologists and a monkey expert? Well you're too late, they were around in May but have since left the building.
